Ok so I know this is my KNITTING blog but what the heck. I am so excited about these cheap shelves I made for my little girl. I looked everywhere for shelves that were feminine but not pricey. I just need a place to house Goodnight Moon, Brown Bear, Guess How Much I Love You and all the other millions of books that are scattered all over my house.
I got the three crates at JoAnn for $7.50 each. The little painted wooden embellishments (is that the right word?) are 99 cents each from Hobby Lobby! That makes these shelves a grand total of $36.36! I have to get my husband to nail gun the crates together but here they are! You simply glue the little wooden guys on. Wah la!
Hmmmm...this gives me an idea about shelves to store my stash. It always comes back to knitting, doesn't it?

Well, my blog saga begins. Page still looks a bit wonky but what can I say, I'm blog-challenged. Many thanks to Deidre for all her help!

So, I am launching this site to talk knit. Just recently my hubby was doing his best to watch a college basketball game and nod his head and grunt as I went on and on about a pattern I was designing. The guy is great (he's been even known to ball some yarn for me if I bribe him with sweets or a foot rub) but if I want a captive audience and some feedback on this here knitting, I'll have to seek it from some fellow knitters!

So, thus begins my first entry. Given that it is a happy spring day here in sunny Colorado, I'm posting a pic of my favorite flower. More later on a project I'm finishing.
